Case Study # 1: Vertex Integration
Issue: “University” decided to convert approximately 1,000 adjunct faculty from independent contractor status to full-time status. Since these individual resided all over the US, they needed to implement a Vertex sales and use tax software application to coincide with the enrollment of these"new” employees in an extremely short time frame.
Case Study #2: Transfer Monitoring / Annual Loan Limits – Program
Issue: Financial Aid at “University” was constantly manually intervening to calculate, and or/adjust their learners financial aid award annual loan limits when students transferred from other universities or award limits changed due to various factors. This was a very manually intensive process that had to ramp up 4 times annually to coincide with their quarterly academic calendar. “University” required a senior functional/technical PeopleSoft financial aid and finance module expert to automate this process. Our consultant successfully accomplished this.
Case Study #3: Need To Improve Reporting Of Transaction Data To FERC
Issue: Quarterly filings to FERC consist of assembling vast amounts of transaction data combined in a very specific format. The existing process consisted of filings getting completed in Access and then exported in the correct format and filed. This process routinely took 20 hours.
Case Study #4: New Invoicing Module Lacks Ability to Apply Cash
Issue: Client was first to implement invoicing module and that module provided no functionality to apply cash. This limitation prevented any type of receiving/payables aging or any credit reporting.
