Scott Levin (MBA, CMA)

Managing Partner

Scott brings over 20 years’ of financial management and information technology experience to MidDel Consulting as both an employee and consultant. He has worked with companies ranging from a start-up (a privately held high-tech firm in Dublin, Ireland) to Fortune 500 companies. Scott began his consulting career in 1998 where he has tackled a variety of financial management and business systems projects at clients including Honeywell, Cargill, NRG Energy, GE Capital, GMAC, Cap Gemini Energy, and Texas Utilities.

Prior to consulting Scott worked as a Controller and Senior level manager in various privately held small to mid-sized companies gaining valuable experience in the manufacturing, software, hardware, agriculture, financial services and construction industries. Scott earned his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota and his MBA in Finance from the University of St. Thomas.

 

Jed Marquisee

Director-Business Development

Prior to joining MidDel, Jed had over 25 years’ experience in consulting and corporate sales, marketing, human resources and information technology. He has held executive level positions in three Fortune 500 companies: McKesson, United Stationers and Adecco. He also brings vital experience working with privately held, medium-sized LBO and small to mid-size start-up technology firms.

Jed’s leadership experiences provide the understanding and insight it takes to build and maintain successful cross-functional teams that understand corporate goals and successfully execute corporate plans and strategies.

Jed is a creative, quick learning leader who has achieved maximum results as an individual and team contributor. He is known for quickly establishing credibility and building long-term internal and external customer relationships. He combines natural curiosity, excellent intuitive sense and strong analytical skills to develop creative strategic solutions within constantly changing business and technology environments.

 

Doug Rusk (BS, MFA, MS)

Director of Business Development, IT Practice

Since 1990 Doug has been working in IT Management for companies from $25M – $9B in revenue.

Building on his technical Masters’ Degree in Computer Science and his Liberal Arts Degrees in the Fine Arts, Doug brings a unique combination of hard science/math and a great appreciation of the arts to every engagement he’s involved in. This dichotomy is evident in his ability to understand the technical issues involved with managing a state of the art IT Department while also managing the expectations and needs of his staff, clients and management.

Having been on the “purchasing side” of the consulting model for the past 20 years Doug has a perspective that enables him to fully empathize with customers in his new role as Director of Business Development. He is also adept at understanding the different roles that make up an IT team and will vet candidates for his customers as if he were hiring them himself. While this can lead to a small number of viable candidates getting through to the customer, we see this a one of valuable assets we bring to each of our customers. A goal to only present the best qualified people available, not the best qualified we have on our bench.

 

Ken Kutz (MBA)

Sr. Recruiter, IT Practice

Ken has over 40 years in the information technology industry, specializing in working with clients to provide them with high quality IT services and consulting. He began his career with IBM and subsequently held senior executive positions at Control Data, Camax and RCM Technologies. Ken has managed sales, marketing, budgeting, and operations for these companies in the United States, Canada, Europe and the Far East. In one of those positions, he was responsible for managing over 25 profit centers. Ken brings a strong background in business systems and the staffing requirements to implement and support them effectively. Ken has a B.S. in Business Administration from Missouri State University and earned his MBA from the University of Arkansas.

 

Tapan Batacharya

Sr. Recruiter, IT Practice

Tapan has 30 years’ experience in information technology industry. He has worked with clients in the following industry segments: Manufacturing (Discrete and CPG), Financial Services, Telecommunications, Government, and Software. He started his career working as an engineer in the nuclear power industry and then moved to Control Data in 1977, where he worked for 25 years starting as an Engineer to become Vice President of Sales & Operations for the Western Region. During this time, he also worked for over 10 years in the International business building businesses in India, Japan, Thailand and other countries in Asia-Pacific. During the last 5 years Tapan has worked as an Executive Consultant for Unilever in the UK and RCM Technologies. He has a BS in Engineering from BITS, India and a MS in Mechanics from Drexel University in Philadelphia.

 

Katie Barta

Recruiter, IT Practice

Katie spent 2 years after graduating from college as a manager of a large retail store. After exploring various roles within retail management, she found her passion was in recruiting and onboarding new talent. Katie brought new recruiting techniques to her store including on campus and online methods. In March 2012 Katie bought her excitement for recruiting and talent management to MidDel Consulting. Katie has a BA in Strategic Communication and a minor in Business Management from the University of Minnesota.
